Privita is built on privacy. Supporters and Creators never share personal details with each other.

This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Who We Are

Privita ("we," "our," or "us") is a technology platform operated by Privita, based in Canada. We can be reached at info@privita.online.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the Platform:

Account information — your name and email address provided through your login provider (LINE or Google)
Authentication identifiers — your LINE user ID or Google account ID, used solely to identify your account
Platform identifier — your PV code, a unique anonymous identifier generated by Privita
Optional profile information — social media usernames you choose to provide (e.g. TikTok handle)
Transaction records — records of gifts sent and received, amounts, and timestamps
Payment information — we do not store payment card details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your Privita account
Process gift transactions through Stripe
Enable creators to receive payouts via Stripe Connect
Provide customer support
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Platform.

4. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal information to any third party
We do not share your identity with other users — supporters and creators interact only through PV codes
We do not store payment card numbers, bank account details, or government ID
We do not use your data for targeted advertising

5. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party processors:

Stripe — payment processing and creator identity verification (KYC). Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment and identity data.
LINE Corporation — authentication if you log in with LINE. LINE's privacy policy governs your LINE account data.
Google LLC — authentication if you log in with Google. Google's privacy policy governs your Google account data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for seven years to comply with financial record keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Section 8.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we commit to promptly notifying affected users in the event of a breach.

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

As a Canadian user, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account and data
Know how your information is being used
Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

9. Cookies

Privita uses session cookies solely to maintain your logged-in state. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Privita is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
